The Seven Wonders of the Espichel Cape














The Espichel Cape is a place of cult to Our Lady that brings together science, history, legends and superstitions. Considered an important promontory situated on the southwestern tip of the Setubal Peninsula, it is characterized by being a wilderness, exposed to the sea wind, but of rare natural beauty. 








Architecturally stand out a set of elements that make the place a unique place in the country (Church, Hostels, Mother Water and Aqueduct, Lighthouse).





The history of the place are part of the Old Legend, the Legend of Mua giant footprints of the dinosaurs and many other things. 





The Espichel Cape is a charming and mysterious place, early chosen by the Kings and pilgrims to join in honor of Our Lady.

Beginning, at 10 am, at the Cruise of Cape Espichel.

There is the possibility of the visit includes transportation and lunch.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Geographic coordinates (GPS): N38º25'12 '' W09º12'54 ''

Access: Going from Lisbon (25 April Bridge) exit at Sesimbra output. Going from Setúbal, follow direction Azeitão, Sesimbra. Continue towards Sesimbra to the Rotunda of Santana, then go towards Cabo Espichel by the end of the road. Should park at the Shrine and not leave anything in sight inside the vehicle.
